Locations
Location is a vital component in managing your base stations.
Adding a location for your stations allows you to:
Easily identify where a station is located.
Store any additional information about the location.
Sign up for email notifications about the station’s status.
View locations in the card view of the base stations page.
In the location notes, you should save additional information like building access codes.
Adding a location
Go to the Base Stations page of the console.
Click on the id of the station you want to edit.
To add a location click on the [+] in the location section of your base station page.
Find your address in the search bar at the top.
Click Confirm to fill out the form on the left with details of your address.
Select your project.
You can adjust each field in the form.
Add additional location info. e.g building access code.
Click Add to create the location and bind your station to it.
You should see your selected location on the map.
Unbinding a location
Unbinding a location will remove the location from a base station but will keep the location for future rebinding with the same or different base station.
To unbind a location, click the UNBIND STATION button.
Click YES to confirm unbinding.
Location successfully removed.
Viewing unbound/detached locations
Go to the Base Stations page to view all the locations without a bound base station.
Locations are displayed after base stations and can be identified by the empty station related fields. (Station ID, Online Status, Health Status, Frequency, Generation)
Binding an existing location
To bind an existing location to a base station, go to the base station’s page by clicking on the id of the station you want to edit.
Then click the [+] button to add a location.
Switch to Chose from existing tab in the form on the right.
Select the location you want to bind from the list.
Click SET to bind the chosen location.
The location should bind to your base station and you will see it on the map.
Deleting Locations
To delete a location from a base station, click on the REMOVE LOCATION button underneath the map of the location.
Click YES to confirm the deletion.
The location should be detached from a base station and deleted.
Location card view
You can switch to the card view by clicking on the CARDS button at the top right of the base station’s page.
You can now view all your stations’ locations on a single page. Click the TABLE button to switch back to table view.
