Creating a group

There are 3 ways to create new group.

But firstly we need to define meaning of group properties:

  • Name - group name.

  • Group type - specification of a group. It can be one of the following values:

    • Marked Spaces - a group of parking sensors on a marked parking bay or parking plate;

    • Unmarked Bay - a group of parking sensors on an unmarked parking bay or on-street parking;

    • Car Counters - a group of special devices “car counter”. This type of devices is used to count cars which go in and out of a parking lot;

  • Custom ID - user-defined ID of a group. It may be used for identifying groups in data that was sent to client’s services from the Nwave cloud.

  • Zone - name of a zone which the group belongs to.

Creating a group via “Groups” menu

Open the side panel by click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.

Navigate to the menu Devices → Device management → Groups

Click on button “+” in the lower right corner

Fill in the form and click on button “Save” in the upper right corner

Creating a group via a personal Zone page

Open the side panel by click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.

Navigate to the menu Devices → Device management → Zones.

Select a zone from the list.

Navigate to the Groups tab

Click on button “+” in the lower right corner

Fill in the form and click on button “Save” in the upper right corner.

You don’t need to select a Zone on this form.

 

Creating a group using Splace2 application

Splace2 is a special mobile application for device management.

Run the Splace2 app and log in

Click on main menu-> bind Group of devices or Bind device.

Select a zone and click on Group drop-down.

Click on Create Group button.

Fill in new group name and click on “NEXT” button.

Select new group type and click on “CREATE” button.

New group is created and selected for bind.
