The release includes 2 major features:

  • Notifications about base stations health status change

  • Splace integration

Notifications about base stations health status change

Notifications about changes of station online and health status now are available via email. You can go to a Station page and add a person who will receive the notification. Nwave Console use the term “Responsible Person” for these persons.

Responsible Person can be out of the Nwave console. Also, Responsible Person has an additional property “Role” and capability not to receive notifications. This makes Responsible Persons list not the only a list of notified users, but a directory of all persons who are interesting in station health status and can help resolve issues with it.

Lets’s consider the addition of Responsible Person by examples:

  1. Go to a station page and click on [+] button next to the text “ADD RESPONSIBLE PERSONS”

  2. If you want to add a Responsible Person who is not registered in the Nwave Console, fill the Responsible Person Registration form and press the button ADD

If you want to add a Nwave Console user to a station responsible persons list, you can switch the panel to the right tab and choose one of the Nwave Console Users or one of previously added external responsible persons.

When you complete these steps, your Responsible Persons will be added to the list. They will receive an email notification in case of the station will get offline or lose connection to radio-receiver.

You are able to see all the responsible persons and their responsibilities on the page Settings → Responsible Persons.

Splace integration

Now, you don't need to open a new tab and go to web-version of Splace App each time you want to position devices on the map. We added (plus) buttons on the pages:

  • Device Management → Zones

  • Device Management → Groups

  • Device Management → Positions

  • Device Management → Devices

When you click on this button, Splace will be opened in a new window and partial data will be already filled in. For example, let’s consider a devices positioning by example:

  1. Find an unpositioned device on the page Device Management → Devices and click on the (plus) button

  2. You will see an opened window with web-version of Splace App. If you never logged in it, please do. You can use credentials of d.nwave.io for log in Splace App. If you logged in at least once, you will see the form of binding a single device:

  3. Select or create Zone, Level and Group for a new position. Click on the button BIND to proceed.

  4. Set location of the new position. You can move map under the yellow marker and use zoom to set the location precisely. Click on the button OK to create a position for the device.

  5. The position is created and the device is bound to it. Now you can click on the marker and see that the device is on the position.

Be careful

Devices in the boxes have to be activated and calibrated before using. You can do that only by Splace Android App and Device Management Android app.

The method of device positioning by the Splace Web App is possible only for previously calibrated devices. Devices which was never calibrated will not send any data until calibration by the smartphone.
