There are 3 ways to create a group.

But first, we need to define meaning of group properties:

  • Name - group name.

  • Group type - specification of a group. It can be one of the following values:

    • General - just a group of devices, nothing special.

    • Marked Bay - a group of parking sensors on a parked parking bay or parking plate.

    • Unmarked Bay - a group of parking sensors on an unmarked parking bay or on-street parking

    • Standalone Car Counters - a group of special devices “car counter”. This type of devices is used to count cars which go in and out of a parking lot.

    • Array Car Counters - a group of special devices “car counters”. This type of devices is used as a counter of cars which go in and out of a parking lots with wide gates.

  • Custom ID - user-defined ID of the group. It can be used for identifying groups in data that is sent to client’s services from the Nwave cloud.

  • Batch - name of a batch which the group belongs to.

Creating a group from the menu “Groups”

Open the side panel by clicking the hamburger menu in the top left corner.

Go to the menu Devices → Device management → Groups

Press button “+” at right bottom

Fill in the form and press button “Save” at the right top corner

Creating a group from the personal batch page

Open the main menu using button in the left top corner.

Go to the menu Devices → Device management → Batches.

Select a batch in the list.

Go to “groups” tab

Press button “+” at right bottom

Fill in the form and press button “Save” at the right top corner.

You don’t need to select Batch in this form.

Creating a group using Splace

Splace is a special mobile app for device management.

Open the Splace app and log in

Select a batch.

Tap on selector “Group” and select item “Create group”

Fill in new group name and press “NEXT”

Select group type and press “CREATE”

The new group is created and selected
